NASA Regains Communications With Voyager 2

Back in April, when the coronavirus lockdowns were hitting the country full force, NASA lost communications with Voyager 2. The 43 year old spacecraft ventured into interstellar space in 2018. It’s twin, Voyager 1, hit interstellar space in 2012. For the last 7 months, Voyager 2 has been “flying blind” meaning NASA has been unable to communicate with it. However, that changed this week when NASA they used an antenna in Australia to send a message and receive a response. It is estimated that Voyager 1 is currently 12 Billion miles from Earth in uncharted space. Crazy!
