Every January, we know a couple things are about to happen: 1) the CES expo, and 2) the Quadrantid meteors. The latter is the annual meteor shower that starts in late-December and is visible through the early days of January.
This year, astronomers estimate the Quadrantids will be visible from December 28th until January 12th. The peak will likely happen on the evening of January 2nd (tonight) into the morning of January 3rd (tomorrow). Alas, there will also be a very bright moon at this time making them difficult to see.
