Back in August of 2012, the NASA JPL (Jet Propulsion Lab) team celebrated as the Curiosity rover landed on the surface of Mars. Since then, it’s been roving around the surface of the red planet. To put that in perspective, the vehicle has spent over 3000 days on Mars. To be more precise, it has spent 3000 sols (a word for a Martian day) on Mars. At 24 hours 39 minutes, a sol is slighter longer than an Earth day.
