NASA’s Perseverance rover should land on Mars tomorrow afternoon. The livestream will start around 2:15 PM EST. This is NASA’s sixth rover to land on the red planet. Sojourner, the first Mars rover, landed in July of 1997. It was later joined by Spirit and Opportunity which both landed in early-2004. Curiosity joined the party during the Summer of 2012. Perseverance has a lot of new features it’s predecessors do not. For instance, it can now record audio and has a drone which can detach and assess a situation from different angles.
