Google Maps is one of the most popular apps on every app store. In fact, many people would have a difficult time navigating their cities without it. Google just announced several enhancements coming to app in 2021. One of them is indoor navigation. While the app has supported mapping paths thorough airports and shopping malls for some time, AR support will soon be added. This can give the user real-time feedback to navigate confusing areas, shown above.
Another upcoming feature is the ability to determine eco-friendly routes though metropolitan areas. Additionally, they’ll be integrating with some major retail and grocery chains to integrate Maps with curbside pickup systems. This could make the overall process a lot easier for the consumer and the merchant.
