Facebook Adds Facial Recognition Software

Facebook Adds Facial Recognition Software

Social networking empire Facebook recently added a new feature to their site… facial recognition software. This new feature will analyze faces in uploaded photos and automatically tag them based on the people in the pictures. It will use currently uploaded and tagged photos as match criteria. Facebook claims the new feature is remarkably accurate. Though this is highly impressive from a software development perspective, it has sparked a lot of privacy concerns .

Is it really fair for Facebook to automatically recognize your face without your permission… and who else has access to this data?
