Everyone who was alive in the 80’s remembers the DeLorean DMC-12. The geek cult classic Back To The Future cemented its place in history, but regardless, the DMC-12 has become a icon of the time period. DeLorean Motor Company (DMC) made these vehicles from 1981-1982 before encountering difficulties with production. SInce then, the company has remained alive for parts and service, but has not been pro ducting automobiles. However, DMC recently announced that the legend is coming back. The DeLorean has been transformed into an electric vehicle that will be available for purchase in 2013. The new DeLorean (shown above) will feature the same styling (and iconic gull wing doors) as the original model, but will be powered by an electric power plant (shown below).
I guess everything comes back in style every 30 years or so.
