Sony Says PS5 Is Completely Sold Out

Both Sony and Microsoft released new game consoles earlier this month and many retailers sold out of their initial stock quickly. Most analysts believed this was just a shortage in the initial stock and more would arrive before the holidays. However, it appears this might not be the case for the PlayStation 5 (PS5). “Everything is sold. Absolutely everything is sold,” Jim Ryan said in a recent interview. Ryan is the CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, the division which manufactures the game consoles. He went on to say shipping a new product during the current global pandemic has been challenging. While many retailers are claiming they’ll have more units before Christmas, Sony’s leadership doesn’t seem to share that opinion.
